Centre for Youth and Child Crisis Intervention; otherwise referred to as CYCCRIS INTERVENTION FOUNDATION for short, is an independent, non-profitable, non-religious and non-governmental organisation (NGO) founded in the Western Region of Ghana in the year 2009 and officially registered with the Ghana's Registrar General's Department in 2014.
Primarily as a youth-and-child-focused organisation, Centre for Youth and Child Crisis Intervention is committed to a mission of improving the lives of young persons and children in Ghana, Africa and beyond. It is also committed to a mission of walking besides families, the aged, the marginalised and the vulnerable members of society.
Centre for Youth and Child Crisis Intervention employs various strategies to implement programmes and activities designed to accomplish its mission, vision, goals and objectives. Key among the strategies include:
a) mobilising the caring power of communities to support initiatives geared towards youth and child development, including the aged and the vulnerable.
b) providing professionally-supported intervention strategies to dealing with crisis situations, including health and economic situations.
c) advocating for strong and proactive governmental interventions and supports on matters concerning young persons, children and the vulnerable members in society.
d) undertaking research and analysis of situations to develop policy recommendations and pilot projects so as to assist governments in formulating good and effective policies on young persons, children, the aged, the marginalised and the vulnerable groups here in Ghana, other parts of Africa and the rest of the world.
