Introduction

Goshen Global Vision (GGV) is a local non-governmental organization (NGO) partnering with United States Forest Service International Program (USFS-IP) to follow-up on the activities of the Coastal Sustainable Landscapes Project (CSLP) which was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the United States Forest Service International Program (USFS-IP)  which provided all the technical capacity and assistance for the successful implementation between October 2013 and October 2018. Goshen Global Vision is thus in partnership with the USFS-IP and benefits from a wealth of several decades of learning both in the United States and also in over 90 countries worldwide. We presently work in Seventy-two (72) communities in Ghana’s Western Region to build resiliency through community-based natural resource management and increasing tree cover while improving livelihoods.  We also work in the Central Region through our partner CEWEFIA. Goshen Global Vision, in collaboration with the USFS-IP is currently implementing the Urban Forestry Project, titled “Greening the Sekondi Takoradi Twin city” whose main goal is to create awareness in the communities about the need to preserve greeneries in the twin city and replant degraded areas for use as recreation, parks etc.
